As summer begins and the Anchorage School District closes for the break, many families face changes in their daily routines, including how they access essential resources like food. The Anchorage Mobile Food Bank understands these shifts and has adjusted its schedule to better serve the community during this time. If you or someone you know relies on the mobile food bank, it’s important to note the new distribution times and registration process for the summer months.

Mobile Food Bank Summer Schedule Update

As the Anchorage School District in summer break, we want to ensure families continue to have access to food resources throughout the season.

Please note our updated distribution schedule:

Registration Begins: 4:00 PM

Food Distribution Begins: 5:00 PM

We encourage individuals and families in our community to arrive early for registration. Our goal is to serve as many households as possible while helping ensure no one goes hungry this summer.

Together, we can support one another and strengthen our community. Please share this post with friends, neighbors, and anyone who may benefit from these services.

"Share with the Lord's people who are in need. Practice hospitality." — Romans 12:13

How the Mobile Food Bank Supports the Community

Food Bank of Alaska plays a crucial role in reducing food insecurity, especially during times when school meal programs pause. By providing accessible food distribution points, the mobile food bank helps families maintain stability and health.
